The ex-Billadeau Super Stock Belvedere Wagon is back on the street with a modern edge. New owner Jamie had us install a 6.1 litre Gen III Hemi with a 727 transmission. Other features include Hotchkis torsion bars, super stock springs and a chromoly roll bar. This new set up produced 331hp at the rear wheels.
Vic has been a valued loyal customer of Billadeau Speed for many years who never misses an opportunity to bracket race his consistent Belvedere. At the end of the 2017 season he returned after destroying a half shaft and we sorted the transmission too.
Yet another new Billadeau toy. This freshly imported station wagon became the home to a pro-charged 452ci big block. Based on a 400ci block and fitted with Edelbrock heads, coupled to a 727 transmission and Dana 60 axle, the motor produced 703hp with 720ft-lbs of torque. Wheels up launches are no problem for this heavyweight!
A 451 short motor was fitted to see out the 2016 season after a breakage, then it was all change again for 2017. Things stepped up to a 499, built from a 400 block with a stroker crank, Indy heads and a Dominator carb. 705bhp took the car into the 10.4s at 130mph with championship winning consistency!
Mark’s 4 door Belvedere came to us for general wiring faults and a service.
Big Carl’s Belvedere has visted Billadeau Speed for various small jobs over the years. The fantastic sign writing by Craig Ainge was completed in 2014.
Jason and Tracey’s Belvedere was fitted with a 6 point roll bar and new front seats, upholstered to match the rears, with 3″ harnesses. The engine bay was rewired and Auto Meter gauges were installed, along with new gears, new shifter and a new fuel system.
Hot rod artist Chris ‘Fat Frog’ Froggatt brought his Belvedere to us for the 383 motor to be rebuilt. Other work carried out included the painting and rewiring of the engine bay.
